holding vigil

for the moon

have you heard that NASA has sent a 'bomb laden missile' to the moon? yes, they have... you can read about it here, here, and here. and here at the NASA website... as you can see, the "projected impact at the lunar South Pole is currently: Oct 9, 2009 at 4:30 a.m. PDT."

if you want to join me i'll be sending out extra lunar love in the next few days...

XO

  1. No I had not heard about that. I will have to read about what happened as that time has passed. Your piece is so touching.

  2. This is shocking! I hadn't heard about it. I'm not surprised, though, since they don't publicize these kinds of things.

Thanks for this post. Love the painting!

  3. I am totally joining you sweet friend, why are they doing that? I guess you can't go anywhere without wanting to destroy some of it.

    Love Renee xoxo

  4. Oh...what are we doing ? Those of us who have figured out that this is wrong can only do one thing, I guess, and that is what you have been driven to do. Send Love...Consider yourself joined, lovely One.

  5. I heard about this and was stunned! Who/what gives them the right to do this? So why can't America have some kind of Medical coverage? I guess the money is going to the moon! Where are our priorities? I wish "we the people" really had a say in government abuse of our taxes! UGH, makes me want to pull my hair out!

  6. Our poor dead sister planet, can't be left in piece. WE are like grave robbers, let's just dig into her and see what's left of her.
This idea could only have been conceived by men. It saddens me that we can spend this kind of money on something this silly when we can't take care of our human populations. :)Bea

  8. JUst read the link you gave us and I'm absolutely shocked! Yes, lunar love is on it's way and the white candle is lit! Thank you so much for spreading the word. It's appreciated! Lunar Love To ALL!

  9. I didn't know they were doing this either. There need to be other planet protection laws or something!

  10. It is one thing to wonder if there is water on the Moon, quite another to be so arrogant and aggressive to try and find out. I'm tired of being part of a national that acts like this. And to think we just can't figure out how to provide health care for all the people...and some people don't even value the idea of health care for all of us...boggles the mind. Great painting showing your love and care for sister moon.

  13. somebody is texting me saying it isn't really a search for water on the moon but a testing of a certain kind of BOMB to use against "ENEMIES" later on...

  14. WTf??

Thanks for alerting me to this - had no idea.

I'm with Mansuetude, it couldn't be for water... as if.

  15. thank you everyone... i've thought everything everyone's said here -- from WTF to m.'s words that everything sings and can never be destroyed... sigh...

m., i'm pretty sure it has to do with testing the bomb out too... amy - i've read that there are protection/sovereignty laws in place for space, and that this is apparently a breach of those laws. i don't know for sure though...

so onward with the Love! exo and endoblessings abound!

  16. I am shocked that I an just hearing about this. Thank goodness for the internet and for everyone's blogs so that I can be informed. I don't think there is enough time in our days to check out everything that we need to know. I, too, will be sending out love to the moon tomorrow morning. Maybe I'll even turn on the NASA channel on TV and see if they are showing us "the truth". Yes, Leslie, why is it that we can't even figure out the simple things like how to insure people and give them health benefits!!! We ought to be ashamed of ourselves!

  17. I am sad and furious!

What gives them the right! Water or testing of new bombs...wrong whichever way they try to explain it.

Sending lunar love from Australia and will make a special effort to go outside tonight and send some lunar love upwards.

  18. So I read, in the paper today, a comment by one of the men in charge and he says (and you can supply your own tone of voice, to this) "it's the same as an eyelash falling on a train".

I have said it before and I say it again the fall of HUMANKIND will be through FEAR, IGGNORANCE & GREED.

  19. well apparently the expected plume of ash and rock (or whatever) didn't happen, but they feel sure their equipment is picking up all sorts of info anyway...

bea, this statement is typical of the 'conquering' mindset, isn't it? part of me wants to go kick this person's ass, and the other part of me wants to beam him a big 'ol blast of heart energy... since i'm pretty sure i've spent way too many lifetimes kicking asses, i'm gonna stick to beaming love. ; )

  25. Ya know, as "Negative Nelly" as it may sound, sometimes I think the best thing tat could happen to this planet (and our neighbors in the universe) is for mankind to go ahead and follow the Dodo down it's path. (but then I think "meh, we're not ALL bad...maybe the smarter ones will win out in the end.")
