I don’t listen to what art critics say. I don’t know anybody who needs a critic to find out what art is.

  1. The book page is such a perfect medium, better than a blank canvas or white page. Something comforting too about your sepia pages, like a cup of tea. I like your wise and simple human forms.

  2. yup he did have it right...
and I knew you would find a place for this photo and quote...
as well as the last piece you posted on tumblr... mmm mmm mmm good.. xoxox

  3. More present than gone- but partly gone!
    love it-

  4. A beautiful transition of colors in this one, Lynne. Your book must be beautiful to see already. And why is it that critics aren't actually artists themselves, usually? Opinions are easy to form when one is an outsider, looking in. But not so easy to say when positioned from the front-line with tools in hand.

  5. i love your world...where when looks so closely flower become the eyes of seeing....

  6. I love your world and those who inhabit it.

What if you listen to a couple of art lovers instead ? I love your art, and baby, this heart loves art. <3

    Happy Tuesday !

  7. I love that photo of him. great quote too, and you character is so expressive of someone in their own world.

  8. another lovely painting and a quote from one of my fave artists :)
