I think Simon finds most people boring. He knows every baseball stat that ever existed. He spends a lot of time indoors arranging and re-arranging his extensive collection of vintage baseball cards. He makes his living selling them on ebay.
Simon looks quite English to me. Is that a baseball cap then? It could be a little cap that a cricketer wears! I keep meaning to have a go at using my gouache paints combined with oil pastels-I have not tried that-you inspire me!
I want to know more about these portraits. Where do they come from? Are they part of a long-term project? I probably missed the post that explained them. They are truly individual, mysterious, gorgeous, intriguing!
