“Art does not lie down on the bed that was made for it; it runs away as soon as one says its name; it loves to be incognito. Its best moments are when it forgets what it is called."

  1. I love all of your fabulous faces! Bird on a wire reminds me of the Anne Lamott book Bird by Bird - ever read it?

  4. I haven't been by because I thought you'd migrated to tumblr and I'm a bit of a techno slug.

Ditto on I love the faces and you seem to have so much fun. It always sounds so deliciously spontaneous and I love that it trails off in surprising directions.

I love that your art is so eclectic, there is painting and stitching. And of course who doesn't love a line from Leonard Cohen.

My new year's resolution is to try and have as much fun as you. Help! What are your secrets??!

  11. The painting of the woman in the stripey trousers is, I think, by Suzanne Valadon; her life story is fascinating.
I came here from Spiritcloth, and am very glad. Thank you.

  13. Love! I also love Susanne Valedon's drawings. I can't find any on the internet for some reason but remember how taken I was with them way back at school. (A school library book). Now that was a long time ago!
