francis ~ watercolors, gouache, and oil pastels on old paper - approx. 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"what, what? 2012 you say?!!
i'm feeling as quiet as francis here, but there are a couple of things that i want to say...
the first is "thank you" for your love and support this past year. thank you for your comments and questions, the inspiration, and the laughter - which is more valuable to me than even art supplies or new books! from the bottom of my heart i say thank you for being who you are and sharing yourselves with me.
the other thing that i want to say is that i wish you all a positively brilliant 2012.
if i may be so bold as to say so,
this is the time to let our
heart lights
shine...

ReplyDeletelynne, the colors are so magnetic - so much drawing in the viewer. francis is of the surface and off the surface - ethereal and terrestrial. the eye, viewers right, is somewhere inside the page space - a layer between the tissues is you will. a pilgrim in a new land. i like all the different fonts/styles and size. the name also suggests that francis might be a androgyny...the new being. strong start for the year. bravo

Francis is very ethereal and almost transparent....I love her.

Francis looks to me like she's tuned in to a different channel! She has no interest in some of the silliness that goes on in this world and so she has taken her ears off so she doesn't have to listen.
