'came calling' ~ watercolors, graphite, oil pastels, gouache, casein paint and collage papers in 'the merry men'

well i'm still feeling mighty, mighty quiet, but it seems like time to put something here besides kees...

owl, woodpecker, turkey and blue jay feathers

one thing i am absolutely clear on these days is that nature is mind-bogglingly complex and beautiful.

blowing you kisses...

  1. I love 'came calling.' She looks like some sort of woodland creature. Great background.
The feathers are lovely. I rarely find any that interesting. Mine are mostly raven and hawk. Very cool.

  2. Autumn is a quiet time in the woods, with things melting down...quiet inside is good too. Love the quote and your work, as always.

  3. Love this little fireball gal!

It seems the best time of year to spend time outside, something about the coolness of the air, and yes the quiet. Once I go out, I find it hard to come back in. Especially when I know the winter rains are on the way.

  9. Indeed... nature is mind boggling complex and beautiful. Your wee creature looks as if she lives in a tree hollow lined with lichen and cobwebs. Also love your feather photograph. Very striking!

  12. The wood-lyn creature speaks softly of the deep forest. She loves that you leave her treasures - painted rocks, and sticks and prayer flags. And oh those feathers . . . I
